Unlock Your Goals with Our New Healthy Weight Loss Program

How you eat, sleep, think, and feel can all influence your progress toward your physical therapy goals. That’s why 360 Physical Therapy has teamed up with Vori Health—an award-winning medical practice specializing in holistic muscle and joint care—to support healthy weight loss.

With the support of a dedicated health coach and nutritionist, you’ll learn how to create healthy habits that stick using a mindfulness-based approach that helps you transform more than a number.

And the program is all done through video visits, so you can make great progress from the comfort of your home.

Why your weight matters

Carrying extra pounds can cause or contribute to muscle and joint pain. For instance, “every 10 extra pounds of weight places an additional 30 to 60 pounds of pressure on your knees,” says Jim Fiechtl, MD, a physician at Vori Health.

Extra weight can also increase inflammation in your body, zap your energy, and leave you feeling less like yourself. These are all reasons why weight loss combined with physical therapy treatment is a winning combination in treating muscle and joint pain.

Furthermore, individuals with a body mass index over 30 (clinical obesity), are at increased risk of other serious health problems such as:
• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol
• Type 2 diabetes
• Heart disease
• Stroke
• Sleep apnea and breathing problems
• Cancer
• Depression and anxiety

Benefits of healthy weight loss

Even a small change in your weight can make a huge impact. Research shows benefits of healthy weight loss (one to two pounds per week) include the:
• Lowered risk of serious chronic diseases
• Decreased pressure on your joints
• Energy boost
• Stronger immunity
• Brighter moods
• More confidence

How this program can help you

With so many diet trends on the table, it can be hard to know where to start. Given the large impact diet and nutrition has on your recovery and overall health, it was important to 360 Physical Therapy to find a trusted partner like Vori Health to help our patients get off the roller coaster of yo-yo diets and onto a steady, mindfulness-based approach with lasting results.

“The key to building lasting habits is consistency in our daily routine,” says Holly Krymis, LCSW, NBC-HWC, Vori Health’s Director of Behavior Change & Health Coaching. “With the support of your own personal health coach, you’ll be set up for success with healthy habits that fit you and stay for good.”

How it works

The program includes weekly video visits with a dedicated health coach that you can do from the convenience of your home.

During your first visit, your health coach will get to know your goals and your readiness for change. You’ll explore what has worked and not worked for you in the past and identify any challenges in your path.

Partnering with you, your health coach will create a clear and personalized care plan to reach your goals. You’ll receive tools and strategies on:
• Staying hydrated
• Meal consistency and journaling
• Portion control
• Anti-inflammatory diet recommendations
• Exercise plans
• Stress management
• Mindful eating
• Motivation strategies
• Ways to get back on track

You’ll check in regularly with your coach with convenient video visits to discuss your progress and troubleshoot any obstacles. Through your account, you can message your coach at any time for support.
